The first time I can remember ever hearing about Lisbon is when Rick, Humphrey Bogart in the movie Casablanca mentioned it. I though then it must be a magical place. Of course years later, after seeing pictures of Lisbon and learning about its history I knew I had to go. I was not disappointed. What a beautiful country with such friendly people. It was like being in a magical place. Music everywhere. And cafe after cafe. Not to mention the the Portuguese custard tarts called pastel de nata. Yes I had many. Lisbon was very diverse in its architecture from district to district. But wherever you were the people amazing. I would really like to go back one day and spend more time there.
