The American Southwest In Black And White
The American Southwest. Red, orange, green, ocher, blue. So why Black And White. Dont ask Ansel Adams that. Even though it is made up of amazing colors, nature takes on a majesty when seen in simple black and white. Sometimes color can obscure the meaning of a scene. Eliminating the color shows the landscape in its purest form. It shows the starkness and emotion that color can conceal. Stripped down to the bare essence that only a monotone image can convey. No color to distract from the texture and patterns. Natures in its most stark complexion. Yes, I love color, but these images are more emotional, more basic in there presentation of the landscape that is the American Southwest. And they will have my favorite black and white look to them. Peaceful Views With Ominous Overtones.
